Courtney Walker’s journey to becoming a financial leader was defined by an unconventional and rewarding evolution. Rather than following the traditional trajectory of an accounting major recruited by a Big 4 firm, Courtney began her career with a degree in Finance and a role at a front desk. It was through this “inorganic” path and the guidance of impactful mentors that she discovered a natural affinity for the logic and stories found within financial data. This mentorship and hands-on experience led her to fall in love with the accounting profession, eventually driving her to earn a Master’s in Accountancy from Purdue University and her IRS Enrolled Agent credential. Today, she leverages that unique perspective as a Firm Controller, specializing in modernizing financial infrastructures and providing the strategic oversight necessary to drive organizational growth.

Outside of the office, Courtney is cherishing the final months of her youngest child’s high school career and navigating the transition into her impending empty nest years. She is a creative jewelry maker and a dedicated foodie who enjoys the challenge of duplicating her favorite restaurant meals at home.
